Sustainability Council

We believe the links that unite us have the power to inspire change. In this spirit, we brought people from across HARMAN together to form our first Sustainability Council.

From our technological innovations for the car, work and home, to the strong relationships between our employees, suppliers and customers, we work constantly to harness the power of connections and shared goals. This strong belief led HARMAN to form a dedicated Sustainability Council in 2014.

Appointed by HARMAN’s Executive Council, including our CEO, CFO and Group Presidents, Sustainability Council members represent key corporate functions across our three business units. Each member has a vested interest in improving the company’s sustainability practices.

Sustainability Council member responsibilities include:

• Setting short-term and long-term sustainability goals for the company
• Leading execution of new policies and programs to foster progress against those goals
• Representing his/her respective business area in decision-making
• Educating and inspiring employees to advance HARMAN’s sustainability goals
• Driving data collection to measure progress within each business area for annual reporting purposes
